Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services received a report of a vehicle accident on K-Beach Road near Save-U-More at 9:03 pm Thursday which closed the road.
CES Captain Terry Bookey said trooper units arrived on scene first and requested Life Med to meet CES there.
The pedestrian struck by a small four door sedan was a male in his early 30’s who was transported with serious injuries to Anchorage via Life Med.
The occupant of the sedan was uninjured.
Bookey said circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately evident.
K-Beach Road has been reopened and Alaska State Troopers are investigating the circumstances leading up to the accident.
