The parking lot at the Fuller Lakes trail head reopened after Homer Electric Association completed maintenance.
Steve Miller with the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge detailed why HEA asked them to close the area.
Miller: “To limit access on that trail while they replaced a couple of poles that were directly adjacent to the trail.”
The work took one week.
