Peninsula teams in 2A volleyball and Mixed-Six volleyball competed in conference tournaments with the Nikolaevsk Mixed-Six team winning the Denali Conference.
Denali Conference
Nikolaevsk downed Seldovia in the championship game 3-0, lead by Denali Conference MVP Neil Gordeev. The Warriors and the Sea Otters qualify to the ASAA Mixed-Six Volleyball State Tournament, scheduled for December 3-5 at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
Borealis Conference
The Borealis Conference title goes to the Cordova Wolverines with a victory in the “if necessary” game over Su Valley. Su Valley defeated Cordova to force a final showdown in the double-elimination format. Both teams qualify to the ASAA 2A State Volleyball Tournament scheduled for December 3-5 at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
