The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation’s board has forwarded the work program and budget for the next phase of the Alaska LNG Project.

The unanimous vote came after an hours-long recess following a brief meeting Thursday morning.

“I’d like to thank the staff, our employees, and the state of Alaska team, we’ve done a couple things over the last week that are monumental. The TransCanada vote two Saturdays ago, the WP and B vote today, the project is on the right track.”

The corporation’s 2016 budget is reportedly about $60 million, roughly one-fourth of the project’s costs for next year following the state’s buyout of TransCanada.

The state-sanctioned corporation holds Alaska’s 25 percent interest in the entire project.

AGDC spokesman Miles Baker says Governor Bill Walker’s administration is continuing work on agreements with project partners.

Walker has been aiming for Friday, December 4 for written assurances from producer partners BP, ConocoPhillips, and Exxon Mobil Corp. that they could not withhold their gas from a project if they withdraw.

The board’s vote came ahead of a meeting of the project partners on a work plan and budget for next year.
