The deadline to apply in order to get Obamacare coverage by January 1, 2016, is December 15 and healthcare navigators around the community are willing to assist those that need help enrolling.
Navigator Program Coordinator Jessie Menkens with the Alaska Primary Care Association says two upcoming events will help Kenai Peninsula residents.
The second event will be held at the Ninilchik Christmas Bazaar on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds.
Menkens says insurance options can often seem complicated and overwhelming, that’s why APCA was created so that navigators can assist Alaskans free of charge in choosing a healthcare plan.
