City Planner Matthew Kelly says his decisions must be based on what’s written in the City’s laws.

 

The gravel pit would be located on five acres of land just off Childs st in Kenai and produce sand and gravel up to 15,000 cubic yards per year.

 

Residents who live on Rogers Rd say the property has already been significantly cleared. While those actions complied with the code, they say their property values and Inlet views have been negatively impacted.

 

The request will be presented to the Kenai Planning and Zoning Commission tonight at 7pm.
