Alaska Communications has corrected an issue with slow internet speeds they say was caused by a virus.
Hannah Blankenship with ACS said they have fixed a majority of the problem.
“So starting Yesterday afternoon Alaska Communications DSL customers had degraded home and business internet due to a virus. We immedialty made it our first priority and most customers now have restored service. Our experts are working with a handful of customers now to restore those who are still experiencing degraded service”
ACS customers began reporting slow or non-existent internet speeds in both home and business accounts yesterday afternoon through part of today.
