The Alaska Communications store in Kenai is no longer a one stop shop for products and tech support.
Blankenship: “We transitioned our Kenai Alaska Communications store to an office on Monday, May 11, it will now operate as a remote contact center or serve customers in other functions but it will no longer directly be serving customers at this location.”
Corporate communications’ Hannah Blankenship said local technicians are still available to assist customers in Kenai and Soldotna through ACS’ call center or website.
The transition follows ACS’ sale of their wireless customers to GCI which was finalized in February.
Blankenship: “Our focus now as a company is on broadband and managed IT services. So we’re really focused on connecting businesses and organizations, hospitals, schools, universities across the state with fast, reliable internet.”
Blankenship said customers can make payments via 1-800-808-8083, on ACS’ website, or by taking cash or checks to First National Bank Alaska branches.
