ADF&G Now Offering at Home License Printing

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has a new online feature.

Kaelke: “Fishermen, both sport and commercial, can print their licenses at home. They can purchase it and immediately print it and go out fishing.”

That was Department’s Financing and Licensing Supervisor Michelle Kaelke…

Kaelke: “In the past we never let commercial crew members print their license at home or even a temporary license, so I know for commercial fishermen this will be really nice – they can buy it before they go out to the fishing grounds or if they’re traveling from Seattle or whatever, they can have everything ready for when they head up to Alaska.”

Along with printing licenses, another first is printing multiple license.

Kaelke: “Now you can buy for your whole family in one transaction, with different options – one can have a fishing and hunting license, or a commercial crew license and one can just have a sport fish license or a big game tag.”

Buyers also receive emails with receipts and the licenses attached for future use. This can now be used for sport fish guides and anglers, hunting, trapping, and getting king salmon or duck stamps.

In the future the Department is looking at electronic license printing setups for vendors across the state and hopefully,  licenses on your mobile device.
