The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation decided not to renew the contract for the agency’s consultant, Ridgon Boykin of South Carolina.
Miles Baker, a spokesman for the corporation, says Boykin’s last day of employment was November 30.
Boykin signed a contract with the state-sanctioned corporation in May.
His termination date was extended twice and was set to expire December 31.
AGDC spokesman Baker says the corporation benefited from Boykin role as a lead negotiator but the consultant does not have that position anymore.
In November, Governor Bill Walker suggested Boykin take time off following the end of the third legislative special session.
Walker had also suggested Boykin take on a new role in the future but Baker says the corporation is not looking for another option for Boykin.
