Central Emergency Services and other agencies are currently responding to the Skilak Lake area for a bear mauling.
Terry Bookey with CES said they received a report of a 20-year-old female having been mauled by a bear.
The woman suffered bites to her head as well as cuts however the extent of the woman’s injuries are unknown.
The mauling happened on a tributary of Skilak Lake.
