The Alaska LNG Project opened a local office in Kenai in 2013 and recently added a familiar face to their team.
Jocelyn O’Connor has worked in the community at the Kenai Watershed Forum and on Borough Mayor Mike Navarre’s Campaign.
Recently she got brought onto the Alaska LNG Project’s socioeconomic team as the Community Engagement Manager.
O’Connor: “So I hope to be a resource to the project to let them know what this community cares about and our concerns and also be a resource to the community as a local person so that if there are questions I can sort of field them and get them to the right people.”
Nikiski residents may notice an increase in field work over the summer as the project secures a terminus for the liquifaction plant through ground water tracking and soil samples.
The Alaska LNG Project will host a community meeting from 6-8 pm next Thursday, April 23, at the Nikiski Recreation Center.
