AK Wolves Eliminated At National Championships

The Alaska Wolves, state champions in the U-18 division, were eliminated at the USA Hockey National Championships ending tournament play with a 1-2 overall record.

The Alaska Wolves U-18 team features three players from the Soldotna Stars hockey team: Levi Hensley, Corey Hanson and Ethan Brown.

 

The Alaska Wolves opened tournament play on Thursday with a 3-1 loss to the Junior Sun Devils.  Friday, the Wolves defeated Chesterfield 6-1, with a goal by Corey Hanson.  Saturday, the Wolves fell to the Maine Moose 6-1.

 

The Alaska Wolves qualified to the national tournament by defeating the Jr. Av’s 3-0 for the Alaska state title.
