The Alaska Democratic Party will host 41 Caucus locations throughout the state where residents can meet to help select the party’s nominee for President of the United States on March 26th.

Communications Director Jake Hamburg explained why the Democratic Party chose a date so long after the Republicans’ Super Tuesday on March 1.

Hamburg: “This year we changed our caucus date to align with the caucuses in Washington state and Hawaii in order to provide some regional parody. And that allowed us to receive two extra delegates in the National Convention.”

The Democratic Caucuses will open 41 locations at 10 am on Saturday across the state.
