Alaska Governor’s Council On Disabilities & Special Education Asks For Public Comments

Author: Adriana Hernandez-Santana |

The Governor’s Council on Disabilities and Special Education would like to hear the public’s comments in regards to how the Council is doing its job, and what changes the community would like to see. The council would also like to know how successful activities that they sponsor are.

All of these results will be used to help shape the council’s activities in the future.

The community’s feedback is critical to ensure that the council can make the changes so see a poise outcome for everyone.

The Council does want to remind the community that they do not provide direct services, but rather they advocate, plan, and create systems on the behalf of individuals with developmental and other significant disabilities and their families.

We would appreciate a response by Wednesday, November 15th at 5pm.

Please take the stakeholder survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8WD33RR

If you are unable to complete the online survey (and would prefer a hard copy), need assistance completing it, or have questions about the survey or any of the Council’s activities, please call the Council toll-free (in Alaska) at 1-888-269-8990, 907-269- 8992 (in Anchorage), or email Lanny Mommsen at [email protected]
