When it comes to environmental sensitivity, Alaska ranks roughly in the middle of the nation.
Wallethub.com studied air and water quality, energy efficiency, recycling, and green transportation, placing Alaska 30th out of the 50 states.
The report was released today to coincide with Earth Day.
Bringing Alaska’s credit down were low scores for recycling and energy use per capita, but Alaska has the cleanest air in the nation and has lowest rates of gasoline use per capita.
Placing first in the nation for environmental issues was Vermont. Louisiana was last.
