Alaska Reports No New Cases Of COVID-19, Active Cases Are Down

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported no new positive COVID-19 cases in their Wednesday update. That leaves the total positive case count in the state at 383.

 

The number of active cases in the state is 35, down four from the Tuesday update. The active case-count has not been at 50 or higher since May 5.

 

The total number of recovered patients, as of Wednesday’s update, stands at 338. No new hospitalizations or fatalities were reported.

 

The total number of tests conducted in the state thus far is 30,649. This means that no new positive results were found despite an increase of ‬688 tests, compared to Tuesday’s update.

 

These cases are reported using the state’s timetable of reporting counts: 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on May 12.
