The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame has released the selections for the Class of 2023 with three individual recipients, one moment in sports and one event selected for the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
Jessica Moore, of Palmer and Colony High School; Reggie Tongue of Fairbanks and Lathrop High School; and Joe Floyd of Kodiak have been selected by the nine-member selection committee (and by public voting) into the Class of 2023 for the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame.
The Alaska Sports Moment recipient is the 2018 Winter Olympics when Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins became the first American cross-country skiers to win a gold medal by winning the women’s team sprint at the Alpensia Cross-Country Centre in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The Alaska Sports Event is the ASAA March Madness Alaska State Basketball Tournament including tournaments in four classifications crowning eight state basketball champions each year.

The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023 will be inducted on Thursday, April 27th, at 6 p.m. in the Anchorage Museum Atrium accompanied by a banquet ceremony and the presentation of the annual Alaska athlete of the year awards.
