U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan seek to connect with Alaskans impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thursday, May 7, at 4:00 p.m., Senators Murkowski and Sullivan are hosting a live hour-long teletown hall to discuss how the public health crisis is impacting Alaskan workers and to answer questions about unemployment insurance.
The Senators will be joined by Dr. Tamika L. Ledbetter, Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and Patsy Westcott, Director of Alaska’s Division of Employment and Training Services.
Alaskans who register for the teletown hall will have an opportunity to share their comments or ask questions about efforts in response to the crisis.
Upon registering for the teletown hall, participants will be called when it is their turn to ask a question. Visit https://www.murkowski.senate.gov/live to register online. For those who want to listen but do not have questions, KSRM 920 AM will be re-airing the town hall in its entirety on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m.
