Based on a recent list of favorite books by state, Alaska’s favorite book is Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream and Dessert Cookbook.
Company spokesman of Ben and Jerry’s Sean Greenwood said it was fun to hear the news.
Greenwood: “When we saw the note like two days ago I think it was posted on our internet to all of our employees saying, check this out we made number one in one of the states.”
Greenwood added that at first they thought it might be Vermont’s favorite, since that is where the company is located but many people guessed Alaska as a close second since we are renowned for being the top ice cream consumers per capita.
He also said that he would gladly trade us our winter back, having just recieved 12-24 inches across much of Vermont Wednesday.
Greenwood: “Being in Vermont it’s not the size that is the most important thing to us, we’re in quality too. So quality ice cream fans out there who enjoy a good snow storm and can bear the cold, ya know, we have a lot of respect for that.”
Greenwood said that company is honored to be Alaska’s top book.
