Sterling Airways dba Aleutian Airways announced on Thursday that it will begin scheduled service to Kenai, Alaska, from Anchorage on June 6. The initial schedule will offer two daily roundtrip flights utilizing Saab 2000 aircraft, a 35-minute flight between the two cities.
“[Aleutian’s] tagline is ‘being the strongest link in the chain,'” said company communications director Wendy Rose. “We want to provide the community the travel assets that it needs to meet its needs. And, of course, we also want to bring in people who want to enjoy the beauty of Kenai. So, hopefully, this is a great option for everyone.”
