Allie Ostrander, a Kenai High School graduate, has made exceptional achievements in athletics, specifically in cross country and track and field.
“Allie’s remarkable talent was evident early in her career, beginning with her unprecedented victories in the Alaska high school sports arena where she secured multiple state championships and set numerous records and whereas her athletic prowess continued to flourish at Boise State University where she earned multiple NCAA titles and garnered national recognition for exceptional skills and sportsmanship,” said Tunseth.
Tunseth continued to say that Ostrander’s induction into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame is a testament to her dedication and perseverance across the Kenai Peninsula, and she inspired young athletes nationwide.
Ostrander was named the Gatorade player of the year four times, won 10 state titles, holds four school records in track, and won six titles in Alaska’s famous mountain marathoners.
“The Kenai Peninsula borough assembly recognizes and commends Kenai Peninsula Allie Ostrander for her outstanding athletic achievements and are well-deserved induction into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame,” said Tunseth.
