The 2020 Birch Ridge Pro Am & Skins Game, held on Monday on the Birch Ridge Golf Course, featured Alaska professional golfers and area amateur golfers in four-person, pro-am open golf and the professionals competing in an alternating shot skins game.

 

In the pro-am event, the team of Greg Sanders, Cliff Copus, Fred Zumbuhl and Jake Eubank finished first with a combined 124, lead by Greg Sanders shooting a scratch 67.  Sanders recorded the top score of the competition finishing 5-under par and posting the only score under the par 72.

 

Two local golfers, Nolan Rose and Shane Sundberg both shot par golf recording scores of 72.  Rose, (Soldotna) a pro at Birch Ridge, and Sundberg (age 15 of Soldotna), the 2018 and 2019 Alaska Junior State Champion in the 13-15 age division, both posted net 69’s.

Anchorage Pro George Collum topped the touring professionals with a scratch 76 for 18 holes.

 

In the alternating shot Skins Game, the team of Zac Cowan and Brandon Kaiser won a total of $1700.
