Anchor Point Man Shot, Suspect in Custody

An Anchor Point man was admitted to South Peninsula Hospital Wednesday after being shot multiple times. Alaska State Troopers have arrested another Anchor Point man as the suspect in the shooting.

 

On Wednesday, February 10, Troopers we notified that a man had been admitted to the Homer hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

 

Investigation revealed the victim had been at a residence on Valleyside Avenue in Anchor Point when 45-year-old James Dixon, also of Anchor Point, allegedly shot the victim more than once with a shotgun.

 

Troopers described the wounds as serious but non-life threatening.

 

Dixon was located by Alaska State Troopers and taken in to custody without incident.

 

He has been remanded to the Homer Jail pending arraignment.
