In the “winner take all” third game of the Alaska Baseball League Top of the World Series, the Anchorage Bucs powered past from the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 7-1 in the title game at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.
The Bucs scored two runs in the first inning, added two runs in the second inning and tacked on two additional runs in the third inning for a 6-0 lead. The Pilots managed a lone run in the seventh and the Bucs answered with an eighth inning run for the game’s final score. Final Score: Bucs 7, Pilots 1.
The Anchorage Bucs score the Alaska Baseball League sweep: the regular season title with a 29-14 record and the Top of the World Series championship.
