An Anchorage corporation predicts that the annual Permanent Fund Dividend check will reach $2,000 this year.
Anchorage Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Bill Popp made the statement at an Anchorage luncheon today where the group predicts Anchorage’s economic development over the next three years.
Last year’s PFD saw an increase since the year of recession, 2008, dropped from the five-year average of the fund’s investments on which the yearly check is based.
The State of Alaska will announce the exact amount of the dividend in September.
Last year’s dividend was $1,884.
