Arctic Winter Games Open Competition In Wood Buffalo

The 2023 Arctic Winter Games, hosted in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Northern Alberta, Canada, opened competition on January 29th and runs through February 4th.

 

The Arctic Winter Games include competition in 20 sports ranging from Alpine Skiing to Wrestling, including Dene Sports and Arctic Sports.

The Arctic Winter Games brings the Circumpolar world closer together, strengthening  communities and providing youth an International Games experience to participate, showcase their talent and share in the joy of sport.

 

Athletes from throughout Alaska make-up Team Alaska, with athletes from the Kenai Peninsula competing in a variety of sports throughout the games.
