Runners from the Kenai Peninsula will compete at the 2015 ASAA State Cross Country Running Championships scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at Bartlett High School.
4A State
The Region III champion Kenai Kardinal girls will vie for the overall team championship; the SoHi girls also qualify as a team to the 4A championships.
Kenai Girls State Qualifiers: Riana Boonstra (Region III champion), Jaycie Calvert, Ithaca Bergholtz, Addison Gibson, Leah Johnson, Kasey Paxton and Brooke Satathite
SoHi Girls State Qualifiers: Daisy Nelson, Kellie Arthur, Molly Erickson, Hannah Potash, Emily Warner, Olivia Hutchings and Fiona Boze
Other State Qualifiers (Individual): SoHi’s Aaron Swedburg and Josh Shuler
The Homer Mariners, Seward Seahawks and Nikolaevsk Warriors have qualified teams to the 1-2-3A championships.
