Arneson Proves To Be “The Beast” In Canadian Spartan Race

The Kenai Peninsula’s Lars Arneson continues to dominate extreme endurance events with a victory at the Spartan North American Elite Series, Blue Mountain event in Ontario, Canada on October 22nd.

 

The former Cook Inlet Academy athlete and University of Alaska Fairbanks skier and runner, topped the field in the “Beast” event at Blue Mountain completing a course that included 30 obstacles and an elevation gain of 5,000 ft. in a time of 2 hours, 7 minutes and 30 seconds.

 

Areneson adds the “Beast” to a list of victories in 2022 which include the Kenai River Marathon in September, the Alaska Mountain Runners Grand Prix series and the Matanuska Peak Challenge.

 

 

The Spartan World Championships are scheduled for December 3-4, 2022 in Abu Dhabi, UEA with the course featuring “jaw dropping sand dunes, gruesome obstacles, and the grittiest athletes in the world.
