The ordinance to tax non-prepared foods six months out of the year and its amendment to put it before voters passed, but then were requested for reconsideration.

Assembly Member Kelly Wolf: “Thank you Mr. President, at this time I’d like to give notice of my reconsideration of 2015 – 03 and ask for that reconsideration vote on April 21st.”
K-Beach Assembly representative Kelly Wolf did not comment as to why he requested the reconsideration.
Earlier in the April 7 meeting both the ordinance and its amendment garnered equal amounts of public testimony in support and opposition; Each were only passed by a five to four vote in favor.
Tonight’s Borough Assembly meeting will begin at 6 pm at the Seward City Hall in Seward.
