Racing events of differing types fill the sports calendar for the first week of September.
Tsalteshi Trails: Salmon Cycle Series
The final race in the Salmon Bike Series is scheduled for Thursday, September 4th on the Tsalteshi Trails. Race time is 6:00 p.m.
Tsalteshi Trails: Psychocross Race
The 3rd annual Psychocross Race is scheduled for the Tsalteshi Trails on Saturday, September 5th. Race time is set for 10:00 a.m.. The 14-mile event is for experienced riders only. Racers under 18 require parental permission and prior approval. Contact trails@tsalteshi.org for more information.
Tri The Kenai Triathlon
The 2014 Tri The Kenai Triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, September 7th beginning at Skyview Middle School. The event, originally scheduled for early June, will feature youth and adult races, an intermediate length event for 2014, and relay teams. Youth races begin at 8:00 a.m. and Adult races begin at 10:00 a.m. More details at www.trithekenai.com.
Twin City Raceway: Circle Track Racing
The Twin City Raceway will host “Racing under the lights” on Friday and Saturday, September 5th and 6th. Races begin at 6:00 p.m.
Tustumena Fun Run: Sept. 13th
