24-year-old John Quincy Wilson of Anchorage was arrested by a Soldotna Alaska State Trooper K-9 Team on Tuesday, May 4th. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a red, white and blue 1991 Honda 3-wheeler at mile 2 around 10:00 p.m.
Troopers report that Wilson failed to yield during the attempted traffic stop and began weaving back and forth both in and out of the travel lane. He drove the 3-wheeler down the Kenai Spur Highway, heading towards Kenai. He made an abrupt right hand turn off the highway and traveled down Strawberry using both lanes of travel. The attempted elusion continued to Gene Road and back to Carver Road and eventually to Frogberry Street.
Quincy eventually ran out of fuel and was arrested without further incident. An investigation revealed that Wilson has an outstanding no bail warrant for his arrest for Obstruction of a Court Order. His operator’s license is revoked for an original DUI charge. He was arrested for his outstanding warrants as well as 1st degree eluding, reckless driving, driving with license revoked and unlawful possession after it revealed the 3-wheeler VIN numbers had been removed.
Wilson was transported to Wildwood Pretrial, processed and remanded without bail.
