The annual State of Alaska land auction concluded last week, with 124 Alaskans winning 136 parcels comprising more than 1,040 acres of land only available to residents. Bidders offered $5,663,430.30 for land across the state in the 2023 Land Auction #495. DNR’s Division of Mining, Land and Water received 531 total bids during the auction from 296 individual bidders.
“I’m glad my administration can help so many Alaskans realize their dreams of owning a piece of Alaska and putting down roots,” said Governor Mike Dunleavy. “By getting Alaskan land in Alaskan hands, even more residents can have the satisfaction of building a home and life in this great state.”
Division staff conducted the auction online, sharing the results of the bid unsealing on the division website and video streaming on Facebook Live.
