The ACS Invitational Wrestling Tournaments, with wrestlers representing 52 teams from throughout Alaska, featured both a boys tournament (40 teams) and a girls tournament (52 teams) at Anchorage Christian School.   ACS Invitational: Boys  The Kenai Kardinals scored 78 team points and Nikiski scored 72, finishing behind overall team champion Nome, at 190.5 and Bethel, at 190.0.  Forty boys programs wrestled in the two-day competition. The Soldotna Stars closed-out Northern Lights Conference Volleyball Tournament play on Friday night with a loss to the host Wasilla Warriors 3-1 in the double-elimination volleyball bracket.

Kenai advances to 2 p.m. Saturday title game with win over Houston; Nikiski still alive and face Houston Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Kenai Peninsula’s Lars Arneson continues to dominate extreme endurance events with a victory at the Spartan North American Elite Series.
