The 2022 Region III-Northern Lights Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, featuring athletes from ten schools, will be hosted by Palmer High School running October 27-29 in the Palmer Pool.

The 2022 Peninsula Ice Challenge Hockey Tournament features three days of competition in split venues to open the high school hockey season for the Soldotna Stars and Kenai Kardinals. 

The Kenai River Brown Bears took two from the first-year Wisconsin Windigo in North American Hockey League action at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.

The Kenai girls finish in third place in the Gold Bracket.  Emma Beck and Jorgi Phillips were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Five Peninsula schools and Anchorage Christian wrestled through 18 brackets including five girls divisions and 13 boys divisions.

The Homer Mariners hockey team will not compete in the 2022-23 high school hockey season due to a reported lack of players in the Mariner program.

For the first time in Division I or Large School football, no Anchorage-based Division I team advanced to the football championship game.

Kenai downed Nikiski 25-22, 25-17 and 25-8.
