Moriarty celebrated the overwhelming success in the industry’s fight against Ballot Measure 1 in November’s general election, which would have prompted higher tax rates on portions of the oil and gas industry.

Young, in a press release noted: “We can waste no time in standing up and fighting for the health of our fisheries.”

The resolution to be discussed by the council will include $100,000 to be utilized as a direct incentive to shoppers.

The program, known as SHARP-3, offers repayments for education loans or direct financial incentives.

Under the resolution, masks would still be required, except for athletes on the ice. Team rooms would be opened and 80 spectators would be allowed in the building during any ice event. These protocols will be discussed before voting on the resolution.

Monday marked the return to schools, full-time for students pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade, and an A-B part-time schedule for students from 7th through 12th grade.
