Central Peninsula Hospital will transform into a holiday shopping destination with its 16th Annual Holiday Bazaar on Thursday, November 21, and Friday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The study will address potential safety, mobility, and economic benefits associated with the proposed tunnel as an alternative to the existing Glenn Highway and will assess the feasibility of utilizing advanced tunneling technologies aimed at reducing costs and increasing boring speeds.

The changes take effect in plan years starting on or after Jan. 1, 2026.

The road reopened Sunday night, but Homer Harbor Master Matt Clarke says that doesn’t mean things have returned to full functionality yet and that it may be some time before they do.
