The Department of Transportation will be closing the Seward Highway intermittently between between Girdwood and Portage for avalanche hazard reduction work.
Motorists should expect delays up to 45 minutes between 10 am and 2 pm. Work will be between Girdwood and Bird, mileposts 99-90; Girdwood and Portage, mileposts 88-83; and Portage Valley Road, mileposts 3-5.
