The Department of Transportation has issued a notice that crews will be conducting avalanche hazard reduction work between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Thursday from Seward to Girdwood and Anchorage.
Two areas of work will delay motorists on the Seward Highway for up to 45 minutes at a time: one near mileposts 89 to 83 between Girdwood and Portage and another area near mileposts 3 to 5 near Portage Glacier Road.
