Kenai Central rolled past Homer 13-0 in five innings Thursday, despite tallying just two hits. The Kardinals walked 12 times and took advantage of seven Homer errors.

Jacob Joanis threw a complete-game one-hitter, striking out nine and walking two. He also went 1 for 2 at the plate with three runs and three stolen bases. Braden Smith scored three runs and swiped two bags, while Avery Martin walked three times and crossed home three times.

Gabe Joanis added a pair of RBIs. The Kardinals moved to 3-3 in NLC play and 6-3 overall.

Soldotna 13, Kodiak 1
Soldotna opened its road series in Kodiak with a 13-1 mercy-rule win in five innings. Brenden Theel gave up one run on two hits over three innings, walking five and striking out five.

Malakai BeDunnah and Jack Harper each pitched a clean inning to close it out.

SoHi broke the game open with a seven-run fifth. Wyatt Gagnon went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, while Jayden Stuyvesant was 2 for 2 with a run and RBI. Jett Brophy stole three bases, and Jackson Koetitz scored three runs. The Stars improved to 5-1 in the NLC and 8-9-2 overall.

Soldotna made it six straight wins with a 10-0 shutout over Kodiak in five innings. Colby Sturman and Wyatt Gagnon combined to face the minimum in a near no-hitter.

Sturman pitched three perfect innings with seven strikeouts, while Gagnon allowed just one baserunner via hit-by-pitch, erased by a double play.

The Stars took 10 walks and tallied five hits. Jett Brophy and Tucker Blough each scored twice, and Jackson Koetitz had two RBIs. SoHi improved to 6-1 in the Northern Lights Conference and 9-9-2 overall.

Kenai 15, Grace Christian 0
Kenai made quick work of Grace Christian, winning 15-0 in just two innings of Northern Lights Conference action. Everett Chamberlain threw two scoreless frames, allowing two hits and striking out three.

Keoni Beddow drove in two and scored twice, while Braden Smith crossed home three times. Jacob Joanis, Chamberlain, and Logan Mese each added two runs as Kenai improved to 4-3 in league play and 7-3 overall.
