Soldotna 15, Redington 0 (5 innings)
Jack Harper fired a complete-game shutout to lead Soldotna past Redington in a dominant 15-0 home win. Harper allowed just two hits over five innings, walking one and striking out four.
The Stars erupted offensively behind a deep lineup: Jett Brophy, Tucker Blough, Brett Hostetler, Matthew Schilling, Wyatt Gagnon, and Ethan Piscoya each tallied multiple runs or RBIs. Gagnon led with three RBIs, and SoHi improved to 7-1 in the NLC and 10-9-2 overall.
Kenai 6, Houston 5
The Kardinals used five pitchers to edge Houston in a tight 6-5 victory at the Kenai Little League fields. Jacob Joanis delivered the biggest hit of the day—a homer among a 2-for-4 performance with three RBIs.
Daniel Steffensen scored twice, and Gabe Joanis added two hits. On the mound, Kenai mixed and matched arms to cover all seven innings, with Jacob Katzenberger closing it out.
The win pushed Kenai to 5-3 in league and 8-3 overall.
Friday, May 23rd
Soldotna 10, Houston 0 (5 innings)
Brenden Theel struck out 10 in a five-inning shutout, guiding the red-hot Stars to their eighth straight win. Theel gave up just three hits and two walks.
Wyatt Gagnon clubbed a three-run homer, and Schilling, Hostetler and Ohnemus each added offensive production. SoHi moved to 8-1 in the NLC and 11-9-2 overall, outscoring opponents 91-13 during the streak.
Kenai 11, Palmer 3
After falling behind 3-0, Kenai stormed back with 11 unanswered runs to secure another home win. Braden Smith was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete game while striking out nine and allowing just four hits—all unearned runs.
Everett Chamberlain and Logan Mese had two hits and two runs each, while Smith and Jacob Joanis drove in runs. The win improved Kenai to 6-3 in the league and 9-3 overall.
Saturday, May 24th
Soldotna 5, Palmer 0
SoHi wrapped its regular season with a fourth straight shutout and ninth consecutive win, blanking Palmer 5-0 on senior day. Colby Sturman pitched five innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight.
Gagnon hit a two-run homer and also pitched a scoreless inning, as did Ohnemus.
The Stars closed the season at 9-1 in the NLC and 12-9-2 overall. Seniors honored included Gagnon, Sturman, Theel, Ohnemus, Hostetler, Hawkins, Blough and Miller.
Kenai 14, Redington 4 (5 innings)
Kenai ended the regular season with an offensive outburst at Coral Seymour Memorial Park, downing Redington in five innings. Gabe Joanis threw two no-hit innings with four strikeouts, while Jacob Katzenberger handled the final three.
Gabe Joanis also went 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBIs. Jacob Joanis added two runs and two RBIs, while Steffensen, Smith, Mese, and Chamberlain all contributed to a 14-run performance. The Kards finished 7-3 in league and 10-3 overall.
