The regular season for high school basketball is complete and so are the brackets for the 3A Southcentral Conference and 4A Northern Lights Conference basketball tournaments, both scheduled to begin play on Thursday, March 8th and run through March 10th.
Southcentral Conference Basketball Tournament @ Colony High School
The Southcentral Conference Basketball Tournament opens three days of competition on Thursday, March 8th with the first round featuring contests for the Nikiski Bulldog girls and boys.
The Nikiski girls earn the #2 seed into the tournament on the strength of a 10-2 conference record. The Bulldog girls face #7 seed Houston in the 6 p.m. game at Colony High School.
The Nikiski boys finish 7-5 and earn the #4 seed into the tournament. The Bulldog boys face #5 Seward in the 1:30 p.m. game at Colony High School

Northern Lights Conference Basketball Tournament @ Wasilla High School
The Northern Lights Conference Basketball Tournament opens three days of competition on Thursday, March 8th with the first round featuring contests for the the Kenai Kardinals and Soldotna Stars, girls and boys.
The SoHi Lady Stars earn the #4 seed with a 4-6 conference record and will face #5 Kenai, the Kardinals closed conference play with a 2-8 record. The Stars and Kards meet in the 3:00 p.m. game on Thursday at Wasilla High School.
The Soldotna Stars boys earn the #4 seed and face #5 seed Kodiak in the 4:45 p.m. game in the tournament’s first round. The Kardinal boys finish 0-10 and are the #6 seed. Kenai opens against #3 Palmer in Thursday’s 8:15 p.m. game at Wasilla High School.
