Bats Quiet In Oilers 4-2 Loss To Panners

After a run of five games with high offensive output, the Peninsula Oilers offense missed opportunities in a 4-2 loss to the Alaska Goldpanners in Alaska Baseball League play on Tuesday in Fairbanks.

Oilers 2 – Panners 4

The Oilers left nine runners on base and plated only two runs in the loss to the Panners.  The Panners scored two runs in the third, with a two out, 2-run home run; and added two runs in the fourth inning.

The Oilers scored one run in the fourth inning with a solo home run by Ted Boeke; and added a run in the seventh.  The Oilers had a baserunner in every inning in Tuesday’s ABL loss.

The Oilers stand at 6-6 in the ABL.

 

The Oilers and the Panners face-off again on Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. game at Growden Park in Fairbanks.
