The bulk of the Binkley Street Renovation Project will start on Monday May 5, however some shoulder work has already begun interrupting regular traffic flow.
Project Manager Lee Frey detailed where the work will begin next week.
Frey: “They will be blocking off from Sterling Highway to just south of the Riverview Avenue intersection there, we will be detouring traffic through Warehouse Drive to Reger to get around there or people can take Birch Street or Kobuk Street to get around as well.”
He added that some shoulder work has already begun impeding traffic temporarily.
Frey: “We have the migratory bird act that they have to go ahead and clear some trees ahead of time for before birds start nesting in the area so they were doing clearing of trees along the length of the property and they are doing a little bit today out there.”
