While some chain stores like REI have decided to close for 2015’s Black Friday shopping event, most Kenai Peninsula chain stores as well as local stores will host sales.
Steve Beeson with Beemun’s Variety in Soldotna says they open an hour earlier for the renowned shopping day.
Beeson: “We’re going to be opening at 8 o’clock, and we’ll have primarily specials upstairs in the bike shop and the ski shop so we’ve got sunglasses, clothing, and skis on sale and a few things downstairs as well. We’re just excited to be here to serve the public.”
