BlueCrest Alaska Operating LLC has received consent to begin drilling, completion, testing and regular production of Hansen H12LI development oil well branches located within the Hansen Undefined Oil Pool; through the State of Alaska, according to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
BlueCrest’s application for an exemption was granted after requesting an exception to acquire spacing requirements to drill within Hansen operating territories in April.
Land Owners and operators were informed by the Alaska Oil And Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) that BlueCrest legally owns rights to operate on private land which was formerly held by Hansen.
Provisions towards granting BlueCrest jurisdiction in Hansen property were chosen on a pure reservoir basis which ensures quicker recovery of oil extraction and prevents jeopardizing correlative rights of adjoining or nearby owners.
