The Kenai Fire Department responded on Tuesday morning to assist the U.S. Coast Guard searching for a possible overturned skiff. A report from an individual on land thought that they saw an overturned skiff offshore near the Nikiski area.
A datum buoy was deployed to track the set and drift to aid in a navigational search. Boats from both the Nikiski Fire Department and the Kenai Fire Department were deployed to search but nothing was found.
No other information is known at this time.
