The body of Homer man missing since late February was recovered from Kodiak’s St. Paul Harbor over the weekend.
27-year-old Mihay Kalugin was a crewman on the fishing vessel Competition when he went missing from downtown Kodiak early on February 22. His remains were discovered last Friday night and identified by a Homer relative, Alexie Reutov.
Family members say Kalugin may have gotten into a fight with three people before his disappearance.
The state medical examiner will attempt to determine cause of death.
