During the Soldotna City Council’s meeting on Wednesday, January 14th, Borough Assembly President Dale Bagley announced some advancements in the way that the Borough will be holding their meetings, giving easier access for the public to participate in the discussions.
Bagley: “We’ve got a different area to speak so they can stand up or sit down, we’ve also set up a better projection area and better mics so people can here, we’ve had some soft speakers on the Assembly so this will help with that issue and then of course we are video streaming and you can go to the Borough website and the assembly area to find that video stream.”
He said with all the new technological advancements, it hasn’t come without its share of problems however.
Bagley: “We’re voting from our iPads though so far we haven’t managed to successfully vote yet but we keep trying and one of these times we will get it right. Its not quite as bad as you might think we haven’t had a lot of controversial votes so I think we’ll get it right at the next meeting.”
Bagley said those video streams will be archived and available to view for future reference.
