The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly will conduct its monthly meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m on Tuesday, November 22nd in the Assembly Chambers at the Borough Building in Soldotna.
Included on the agenda is the Central Peninsula Hospital Quarterly Report, Kenai Peninsula Borough Healthcare Task Force 2016 Report and Recommendations, and a presentation by Jodi Stuart and Kathy Gensel on Project Homeless Connect.
Stuart will explain the upcoming 6th Annual Project Homeless Connect event, scheduled for January 24, 2017 at Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. The Kenai Peninsula Continuum of Care along with other service providers are organizing the Project Homeless Connect event, where people who are homeless or near homeless can find the basic services they need, under one roof, on one day.
Jodi Stuart: “Project Homeless Connect is our one-day event where we offer services of all kinds to people that are homeless or near homeless; services from getting a lifeline phone to getting job services, to getting hair cuts, massages, some veterinary services for their animals because we know, unfortunately, that it’s not just the people that are affected by homelessness.”
